Warts are often mistaken for other conditions such as corns or calluses, but a wart  is actually a viral infection which has invaded the skin.

Children, especially teenagers, tend to be more susceptible to warts than adults while some people seem to be immune.

Treatment options for warts in the past have been burning with acid preparations, freezing with liquid nitrogen and surgical removal.

Depending upon the size of the wart and its location all past treatments have had their limitations and varying degrees of success.
